Get Fit For A Better Quality of Life

According to Dr. Wendy L. Bennett at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore Maryland, patients with diabetes may be able to improve their health-related quality of life by getting fit.

Dr. Bennet’s research reported in the online journal Health and Quality of Life Outcomes revealed that patients with diabetes have a worse health-related quality of life ; they were more likely to report limitations due to physical problems, low vitality and poor general health.

Dr. Bennett concludes that for patients with diabetes,”incorporating physical activity into their daily routine improves fitness, allows then to do more, feel better, as well as reduce their risk of cardiovascular disease and diabetes-related complications.”

So a word to the wise, find out what exercise you enjoy doing and, as the folks at Nike say, Just do it!
